SD West

Last night I went with Joel to see a screening of Aardvark'd at SD West: Software Development Conference and Expo. The theater was really nice, and already had about 150 people when we got there.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the movie, it seemed they weren't expecting a long technical bore-fest, nor a deep emotional look into the life of the geek, but a fun, quirky documentary about a group of quirky interns, which is good, considering that's exactly what the movie delivers. They got the jokes, and, it seemed, laughed not only at what was happening on screen, but at themselves a little, because they understood the geeky humor involved.

After the screening, Joel and I went on stage and answered questions from the audience about the movie, the internship, and the company in general. It was fun to get up there and get direct questions that people were interested in, though I was a little nervous at first. Overall, it was a lot of fun.

Now back to studying!
