Mozilla Thunderbird Tip
On a fairly regular basis, I send an email to someone, and right after I hit the SEND button, I remember that I forgot to add something, like an attachment or some extra piece of information, before sending it. My solution has always been to go into my "Sent" folder, find the email and hit "Reply All", then delete my email address, the "Re:" in the subject line and the email headers that Thunderbird includes, and then send it again.
This has always seemed like a hacky solution to me, so I was happy today to find a somewhat cryptic option in Thunderbird's context (right-click) menu called "Edit as new...". It turns out, "Edit as new..." opens the email as if you'd just finished writing it, with the same message, subject and recipients as the first message. All you have to do is right click the relevant message, add what you forgot, and send it off. A lot faster, a lot cleaner, and less chance for a mistake.
