Escape From Alcatraz!
I just got notified today that I was accepted to the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon! Overall, it's just a little longer than the Terre Haute Tri, the biggest part being the 1.5-mile swim from Alcatraz to San Fransisco in frigid, shark-infested waters. That is followed by an 18-mile bike ride over the hills of San Fransisco, topped off with an 8-mile run (course map). I'm excited! And with almost 4 months to train, I should be in great shape for it.
On a more current note, I got invited to Voda's for a little Superbowl get together. It was great to see him again, and really nice to get away from school for a while.
Finally, it has been decided that I will be returning to Paris (posts from last time 1 2 3 4 5 pics) at the end of March for spring break. Iris and I have been planning on doing some sort of trip over spring break, since MIT and Stanford line up this year. Just last week she got accepted to a workshop in Paris (flight, lodging and food included), so it has been decided that I will return to the City of Lights. It's going to be a blast!
